As the title of our blog suggests, we like our hound dogs around here. It all started with Shelby, the bluetick coonhound that I adopted when I first moved to Geneseo. Shelby was an adult dog when I adopted her in 2005 and, unfortunately, we only had about 6 years together...her kidneys began failing in the fall and we lost her just after Christmas. But Josh and I are dog people and our house was too quiet. It wasn't long before we brought a new coonhound into our family!
Through the wonderful website Petfinder.com, we found a little black and tan coonhound that needed a home just a few hours away. So on our way back from Texas, we stopped and adopted our little hound! Cooper, like all coonhounds, has such a personality! Stay tuned, as I'm sure we will be documenting his many exploits on this blog...
